This is my first build, so please keep in mind I need all the details and options possible. The build will consist of an ATR (Crane) Roller cam kit. The kit came with a stock style spring/roller bearing nose piece set up. What other options do I have for keeping the cam in place - SIMPLEST and EFFECTIVE? All parts, and how? I ‘d like some info on setting it up, what to look for, how much clearance.... the works?

Also, I'd like to thank the guys that has helped me get this far, thanks!

If you have a complete ATR roller cam kit, you have no other choices. The cam should come machined to be installed and fit proper with the parts they supply.

There are various ways to do a billet roller in a 109 block and all require their own specific parts, and specific machining operations. Some are very extensive.

In our opinion, we like the Danny Bee [one Ken D. uses] set up the best. Minimum machining and special parts needed. Block just needs to be drilled and tapped with 3 holes for the retainer plate. Cam does also need to be machined. The TA alum block and stage blocks are set up this way.
