My blue AFPR has been working fine for some 150,000 miles. I still won't buy anything else from them though.

back in the day when i was new at these cars i delt with KB. i bought his basic upgrades. adjfpr,boost-a-pump and his chip, red hot plug wires. stuff all worked fine and arrived promptly except for the plug wires, two sets and both were defective. still use the regulator to this day. his tech line sucks. i called asking about a what turned out to be a bad tps and all he kept saying was add octane booter. whatever, shows how much he cares about his customers. octane boosters do nothing but mess up o2 sensors and coat turbo blades.

His catolog is pretty big and humurous at times , and makes a good read in the bathroom :D .

I ordered his hood mounted FP guage in '2001. Pretty good kit. The only qualms i have is the two screws that hold the bracket down outside the car are rusting, the bracket itself seems to be powder coated.

The directions that came with the kit were a copy of a copy and a copy  . Im no mechanical genuis and never did an install like this. The copy was horrible and i had to guess and interpret partially missing sentences. The photo of the buick engine was all black, could have been a jet fighter engine for all i know.

But, other venders are also sending out crappy copied directions. I received Kirban's seat braces and the directions were also very hard to read.

As for the FP regulator, i did research on that and noticed that the KB and the Accufab regulators were the same design and there was not much of a price difference. So i stuck with Accufab who i had a feeling where the original maker.

>>My blue AFPR.........

You might be lucky Greg.... Mine failed, psi wouldn't go up with boost(past about 45psi,,, fuel pressure that is, not boost.) You sure yours is working right? You can see where the seat wore out on mine, when taken apart. Accufab told me the story about the KB unit.

Hey here's an idea! Why don't all of you guy's that know so much about what is wrong with the products and customer service of these vendors get together and start your own business, instead of coming on here complaining about them and wasting your time. Let's see, I think Kenne Bell has been in business for about 30 YEARS, surely you guys can do better than that. I'll be watching in the vendors section for your new COMPANY NAME and products. :) :) :D

Actually, the guys have a right to complain if a vendor has a bad product, takes a long time to ship, does not live up to his promises, had lousy customer service and other "notable" deficiencies.

Nothing I read here has not been true, and have heard most of it from when he started in the turbo Buick business in the late 80's. The Ford guy asked a civil question and the responses have been accurate, some good, some bad, no unwarranted bashing or complaining.

In my opinion, I like to know if a vendor is a "problem" or, if he is a "good guy", and does what he says.

Oh, a while back I ordered a KB hood mount fuel gauge kit, after a few months of excuses, finally put my own together. Ordered another one later and got it. Go figure???
