Ok...I figured out what is causing this. Every time I get done driving and park it, I can't seem to get the key to disengage!

Well, I found out that it was the column that was holding it in. Seems the "rotating" part that coincides with the placement of the gear selector doesn't return to it's correct position. I have to manually return the sleeve on the column about a 1/4" of a turn to allow for the key to come out.

Totally annoying.....anyone have this problem and found out how to fix it? I'd rather be able to throw it in park, take the key out, and go.

Happens all the time. There's a rod underneath connected to the trans shift linkage. It has a block that slides on the rod. You can adjust it so the column rotates fully when you put it in park.
