My car just started doing this. I have a Fast Freddie knock box, and the thing is beeping like crazy when I'm not even getting it. I then changed the knock sensor, which didn't help. So, I figured maybe the knock gauge was faulty. I then hooked up Turbolink, in which I measured 38 of knock retard, @15psi of boost, 880 of Oxygen volts. Whats the deal, I did feel it bog when it measured that, so it wasn't a false knock. My car runs high 11's, TE44, FMIC, etc. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Thanks

I would check the clearance of the downpipe between the frame and crossover pipe. There is not much room in there. Just lay down next to the PS door and reach under there and shake the pipe in front of the CAT. Do this on a COLD engine.:D

Check for anything that could be rattling under the hood like dipstick tubes, alternator or a/c brackets, etc. The knock sensor is tuned to a specific frequency and can be falsely triggered by loose stuff. Also check your headers for cracks/rattles and the downpipe as stated above. Motor mounts. If all else fails, try wrapping the threads of the knock sensor with teflon tape and reinstall but not too tight. Hope this helps!

I realized that my knock box goes off every time I pop or shut the hood also, so with the car off, but on the on position, I tested to see if it got knock, in which it did. So, is this an electrical short, any help would be appreciated

I tested it with car off but in the on position, and it still knocked when I popped and shut the hood. Is this an electrical problem, and if so how do I fix?
