Knock Readings

Hello

I have a problem with my knock. I have a scanmaster and a knock gauge. When I get to 20 lbs. of boost at W.O.T. my knock gauge lights up to the red instant. When I check scanmaster it shows 830 O'2 and 1.4 Knock which one is correct? I have Trans+and extender chip. and Alcky. 49 turbo 50# injectors.

There is no reason that both the KR and o2 mv can be correct. It's very possible to get knock even with a rich air fuel ratio. If the air inlet temp is high, the coolant temp is high, the octane is too low or if the chip has too much timing at WOT it's possible. Do you have any idea how much timing you're running? What were the other factors involved?

Perhaps the knock gauge is picking up some false knock that the knock sensor isn't sending to the ECM (and thus the aldl and scanmaster). I believe I'd trust the Scanmaster readout a bit more than a knock gauge in this case. The other thing to consider is that the scanmaster only updates every 1.5 seconds, unless you have a fast update stream in your chip, then it's every .5 seconds. Maybe the knock gauge is more accurate after all. (Contradicts self ). Are you hearing any audible knock ?
