knock sensor dead???????

why isnt my knock sensor working. it worked before i rebuilt the motor. tap on and aroung the sensor and no knock showing on scanmaster. is the top where it plugs in supposed to pivot aroung or is it broke?

During rebuild, did you use teflon tape on the sensor? Did you torque it to proper specs (I believe it should be at 14 in/lbs)

It is NOT supposed to pivot around. Sounds like you broke it. :redface:

I WAS HOPING THAT WAS IT THE PART WHERE THE PLUG BOLTS TO THE SENSOR WIGGLES AROUND. HEY YOU WERE RIGHT ABOUT THAT 204/214 CAM NOTICABLE DIFFERENCE OVER STOCKER. BEEN RUNNING 5 PSI AND IT SPINS THE TIRES GOING INTO SECOND AT PART THROTTLE EVEN WITH MY OIL BURNING HA HA HA!!!!
