knock test

My t-link never shows any knock, or timing changes no matter how I run the car, Is there a way ( a simple way ) to check my knock sensor to see if it is working.

Car running, RPM must be over at least 1000 so fold up some paper and stick it between the throttle lever and the stop then take a long extension and tap down by the knock sensor on either the block or the trans from the firewall area and with a moderate tap you should start seeing knock.
