Lear Seigler seats in 87 T

This isn't extremely technical, but I am looking for info on the Lear Seigler seats. I am looking at buying an 87 Turbo-T that has Lear Seigler all leather seats, front buckets and the entire back seat is leather. The guy claims that they are original. In all the literature that I have I can't find a reference to this being offered. I realy like the look of the interior and am probably going to buy the car regardless if it is original. I curious more than anything. I am assuming that they came out of a 84 GN and were recovered.

I don't really have any Production info on this matter but I can tell you my own personal experiences with Lier Siegler seats.

I've seen all cloth LS's in an 85 T-Type. I put a set of 84 GN LS's in my car and everybody says how much more comfortable they are than the stock 87 seats.

It's something different. I don't think that all leather was an option for these seats but I could be wrong.

i highly doubt they are factory.

maby if it was an early 86 model i might belive it,
but even that would be a factory freek.

the fact that its an 87 = not original seats.

but they do look good

Lear Seigler Seats

I got to the bottom of it. I was dealing thru a used car dealer. His father owned the car for several years in the early 90's. He had the original seats out of the car for some reason and had them in the back of a van and they got stolen. He happened to have a totaled low mile 84 GN sitting around so he pulled the seats out that and put them in the Turbo-T. They are the two tone clothe and leather. I haven't seen the car yet, but it is white with T-Tops and should look good with that interior. He then sold the car to a guy down the street from him who owned a body shop. I finaly talked to this guy today and got everything straightened out.
