whats the limit of the stock maf sensor? any cars in the low 11's or high 10's with the stock maf sensor, stock ecm, and any name chip? this is assuming all other mods have been done, turbo, IC, piping, etc, etc
I went 10.69@125.8 last year with the stock MAF, ECM, and Jim Testa chips(11.46@115.8 best on pumpgas)
So far this year I've gone 11.20@120 on pumpgas with the stock MAF, ECM, and chips from turbotweak. No racegas times yet but I hope for 10.50 or better this year.
Guys have gone 9's with the stock ECM, with the drivers modified for low impedance fuel injectors. Example - Dave Poppe.
These days you can get 60 PPH, high impedance injectors. 60 PPH supports about 720 HP! That's enough to grenade a 109 block.
When someone says non stock ECM, they are generally referring to one of several aftermarket ECMs, such as a FAST unit (i.e. DFI).
The stock MAF has been in the 10s, maybe even quicker, but with cheap, larger MAFs from SBCs and translators available and the stock MAFs being old and unreliable, stock MAFs tend to get replaced along the way.
