While trying to raise boost levels through my electronic boost controller into the upper 20's , I seem to be stuck at 23lbs.
Admittedly, my te44 bb is getting tired which may be the cause, but I would like to eliminate other possible culprits before replacing the turbo.
I am reading boost through an Autometer mechanical guage. After the te44, comes a Turbonetics Racegate with 8lb spring, regulated with an Exhile electronic boost controller, Cottons FMIC and 70mm throttle body.
I guess I am just asking how an experienced Turbo Buick guy would systematically go looking for what is limiting boost in this application.
