Anyone have a leftover cat that was used for and RJC or other 3" down pipe?

Found out the hard way that expanding a stock cat inlet to 3" doesn't make it any shorter...:(

Looks to be 14" from flange to the end of the inlet.

Let me know if you have anything and how much you want for it.

The good news I;m getting really fast at swapping out downpipes ;)

Eric,

Red Armstrong used to sell 3" cats for the TH downpipe. I don't know if he still sells them but they already have the correct flange on them and sound similar to what you need.

Eric, I am having a 3" cat made for a RJC DP I just installed, and it should be ready Monday.

It will have the 4 bolt flange to connect to the exhaust and will slide onto the DP.

Eric / Nick, if your need for a cat is to pass smog the aftermarket cats are two way & only legal in states other than CA. you have to have an approved three way cat with the right carb. number. the correct replacement cat with a 4 bolt flange is about $350.00 & comes with a 2.5 " inlet that has to be modified to 3" in order to work. They do make a universal correct cat thats cheaper but doesn't come with the right flange. So unless you have some welding ability this could be a problem. The only good news most smog inspectors are too lazy to check for that so I guess you could take your chances.

I have one that I do not need / use anymore. I think it's total run time is only 3 or 4 hours, as it was only used occasionally and temporarily.

I'll grab a pic and a measurement.

It came from ATR back in the day. Other than that no branding. I imagine ATR sourced them and then welded on a Buick style flange

Eric,

That cat is very similar to the one Red offered. It's a 2 way cat like Lou was describing but should do what you want to. $75 is a good deal, you should buy it.
