I will first admit I have an exhaust leak...its not super loud but I can hear it pretty good. Would this be enough to drop from 22#'s of boost to around 17-18#'s? I have an external wastegate and I cranked down the spring pressure all the way and even opened up my air regulator all the way going to the top port of the gate. I was hoping this would bring it back up. It didnt.

I just installed alky and I am upset that I cant boost it up to test out the new kit. I plan on changing the gaskets today when I get off of work(felpro 1400's), but I want some suggestions for in case the exhaust leak does not fix my problem. I have had exhaust leaks in the past with other TR's and never noticed a major deduction in boost but then again I was not running the high #'s that I am now.

just cause you hae a exhaust leak doesnt mean its a gasket leak these cars are known for cracking headers because of the cheap steel mixed with 1600 degree heat and yes this would be enough to cause a loss of boost

I have some TA performance headers I installed last year. About a month ago I heard a small tick. I went to tighten up the bolts and noticed the top back bolt by the firewall was gone:eek: . I figured that was my problem so I put a new bolt in with lock-tite and called it a day. The sound has gotten worse since then. I guess it blew the gasket out when the bolt came off and retightening the header made it worse. I have felpro 1400's on there right now. I am just hoping this small leak is my boost problem and nothing else.

I just cant see that small leak making that big of a difference, but maybe so.

Well I changed the gaskets and it sounds much better but I still cant raise my boost past 17-18psi. What else am I missing?

I took the deltagate apart, it seemed okay but the shaft needed a little oil to get moving up and down. After a test run it seems the boost is even lower....15-16 psi. Help!

Fixed it! Now at 26 psi..feels great! Took deltagate apart again and used emery cloth on shaft to remove build up, it nows moves up and down smoothly.
