I posted previously, that when I keyed on, the fan would run on hi. [cold or hot start.]
I disconnected the delay and then only lo speed would come on @ key on.
Bob suggested I unplug the ecm. Did that, still comes on low.
I looked at the relays, and found this goofy looking Bosch on the low fan harness.
As you can see, it has a grnd wire permanently molded to the case. I took the screw out, moved the relay away from the inner fender>>> fan quit.
I then installed a new, 30A Bosch relay. Key on, no fan, engine almost dead cold.

Here's a pic. NE1 know what this is? I don't recall one like that on my last TR.

Going off memory it looks identical or nearly identical to a relay on my GN I just sold. With this relay my fans came on immediately at key on no matter what temp. The male spade connector on the relay connects to a round silver pressure switch about the size of a silver dollar mounted behind the grill. See my post on it.http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/threads/atr-fan-revision-kit.349652/

When I get home from work I will look to see if I ever took a photo of it..

Yep. I now recall that piece. There's no "air sensor, or wire", that I can find. I'll be removing the rad, a/c etc, so I'll take a closer look.
Thanks for the info!

Took the car out for it's first ride, and proceeded to blow the up pipe off the tb. Seems it doesn't stay well coated in oil. No gauges, so temp is not available.
The lean sneeze took care of the pipe connection. But then, holes in the air inlet hose, a filthy maf doesn't help w/ fueling... Some folks shouldn't be allowed to own a car. This was "supposed to be" a 59K original"....right.
