I've got the Tompka(sp?) cold air (air filter re-location) setup, but I don't like the hose from the MAF to the turbo.
If I get a solid MAF pipe, do I need anything special? Reason I ask is that I can't remember if the MAF is in the factory location.
Actually - do I want a solid pipe, and if so, which one?
Thanks

Been there several times, and think the stuff looks great.
I haven't been into this car for awhile, and I forget what I did, but I think the Tompka kit included a MAF mount that may have moved things around a bit. I want to keep everything from the MAF to the air cleaner, but don't know if a "standard" MAF pipe would work because of the re-location.
Maybe a different length?
Thanks for the reply.

If the solid pipe is "shorter" than your current "turbo-to-maf" length, then you can make up the difference with some extra hose.....napa, autozone or any parts store should have different colors and any length you'll need.....

Check out some pics of cars that have the solid maf pipe and see if your maf sensor is going to fall out in the way....if not, then it will work with the extra hose.

If you promise not to laugh, you can check out my "webpage in progress" (http://webpages.charter.net/maltman182). I threw a couple pictures in as I'm learning how to create a page with microsoft frontpage. Anyway, you can see what I did to get my maf sensor to mount closer to the fender....the hose was ordered extra from cotton's when I got the front mount (3").

You can get the parts and make your own cold air system.

Check out my website, all the info and pictures are there.
