maf ?

I went to a local shop. they looked at the T & said to reinstall the sensor that goes into right between maf & K&N it was loose with ducktape so I got some hose repair tape sealed the hole & was told to reinstall it b4 the maf into the inlet pipe. Should I or should I just reinstall in another hole into filter?

It really makes no difference if it's before or after the maf.
It is the IAT sensor and doesn't do much in the whole scheme of things.

Yeah, its no big deal but it is used somewhat for mixture calculations by the ECM -- mass air temperature sensor.

well the dummy behind the counter sold me junk so I took the sensor back & told him it was wack! Then I redone it right. Repaired the inlet filter, retapped the hole, set the sensor without ducktape. Also found the service engine light had been removed, replaced it, reinstalled it in the slot it belonged in. Later today I am going by a friends house who knows the engine codes were pulling them & getting whatever it needs to correct the trouble codes.
