Who here is running the MAFTPro in speed density mode? Love to hear your findings, impressions, setup experiences, Pro's con's. How you find it compared to MAF mode.

Thanks,
Paul

I like mine so far. As far as driveability the car used to idle like it had a vacuum leak and would stutter a bit if I popped off the gas too quickly. Both of those problems are gone.

Wiring it in was pretty easy, only thing I can say is make sure your going off of the latest update of directions. Things change rather quickly with quick start setups and such.

I am also really liking the A/F tracking and fuel correction. It is really neat to look back on a log and be able to see the program helping the car out.

Only CON I've got at the moment is I am having troubles with boost control and an external wastegate. Bob said he will be messing with it a bit to see what he can do. The majority of the people are running a stock style and seem to be having no problems with it. I'm not salty over it either, I understand it is a part of a custom application. I have to say that Bob Bailey has been a huge help and very patient with me an others.

stock longblock, ATR headers, CPT-65 ball bearing turbo, Tial 38mm wastegate, PTE FMIC, MSD 50's, PRO setup, LC1 wideband, PRO chip, etc

I've ran mine since last August and it's one of the best things I've ever done to the car. With the other options you can get with it you can have AFR tracking and correction, boost control, fuel and timing control, EGT's displayed and with the TunerPro software you can log every bit of it. Not to mention the fact that you can chuck the maf sensor ;)

Donnie, once you have it setup how often do you tinker with it? WHat I mean, is this something that's practical for a fast street car? Will I have to be adjusting settings at a stoplight, or will I just end up doing that anyways because I can? :p

I have a fast street car, over 600hp to the wheels, so what are you saying? j/k
Once you have it set, for the most part you don't have to do too much else for driving on the street but I love to tinker and mess with it. I have a street bin and an all out race bin that I load to the TPro via the laptop with TunerPro when I race so one click of the mouse and I'm ready to boogie.

Ok good. I registerd and have been viewing topics on www.fullthrottletech.com but the site hides the old threads. So far I haven't heard much negative about it. :)

Love mine!! No cons so far

We do not hide them, if you go to the bottom of a thread it will give you the option of how far back you wish to go, you can go back to day 1. As far as tuning goes I hooked mine up when it was a beta and spent 15 minutes tuning it and have not touched it since. It runs perfect. I still have the crappy beta software in mine the new stuff is light years better. I am too lazy to change it when it runs so well now :D .

Great, I'll make a change, I guess it was just user error. :)
