well, i was having one of my moments where i am bored, and my mind starts to work, and i was thinking, what would happen if you took the stock intercooler, re-plummed it and custom made brackets to put it in front of the radiator/A/C condencer? would there be any preformance differences? i have a extra electric fan (that supposdely produces 2950 CFM's) that i could put on it, to pull the extra air... would it be worth trying or not? has any one ever tryed it?

well i just want to be a 'backyard innovator' if you know what i mean,

tell me what you think

Your idea has been tried before with mediocre success. The stock intercooler is small in size to start with, so it would already be at a loss compared to the large after market units available.
Putting a fan on the inlet or front side of any radiator causes more of an air flow obstruction and as such is a detriment rather than an improvement. You always want to the fan to pull through any type of radiator/intercooler and have unobstructed flow through the front.

A good friend of mine did this to his car. He took a stock one and a stretch one ( the front mounted one of the two ) and connected them both together. Not too sure how well it workd but his car is driven to the track, runs mid 6s in the 1/8, then drives it an hour back home. his e-mail is Turbo1dr@pamlico.net. hope this helps.
