Man, this blows

Well i decided to replace my weatherstripping with the stuff that i have had for 2 years. I started with the drivers side. man was it a pain to get off. and then i find this.........a frekin rust hole the size of texas!!!!!! Now i wish i would have never started replacing that stuff. not that it would have helped anything. I think that i am gonna order some POR15 and either weld or bond some sheetmetal in place to seal it up. i will proabaly shoot some OSPHO down in the hole to kill any rust down the A pillar. what do you guys think(other than it sucks to be me ) jeremy

Ospho and por15 are the way to go until you WELD in a new piece.

I would absolutely, positively take it to a body shop... Probably a few body shops...

wait till you get the rest of the chrome trim off....i hope yours doesn't look as bad as mine did.... heres some of mine....

i ended up replacing the whole roof.

that really sucks.take it to a body shop. because by the time you cut out all the rust. the hole will look more like the united states. when i started frame off on mine i pulled all the glass out and top of windshield channel was gone .my buddy owns a body shop and he had to make a new channel. did a real nice job. if i were you i would look for a wrecked t -top car and cut section off from bottom of a pillar and to center of roof. because those parts are going to be hard to find and fabricating it is going to be pretty hard. I would cut whole roof off parts car. you never know.
i would have glass removed first to make sure there is no more rust going down inside of channel. thats where mine was rotted and I only have a sunroof car. good luck

all to common with T-top cars..a decent body shop or welder could repair that for you. Better to find things that now while it savagable, instead of changing out the entire pillar.
