when installing, do i no longer use the wastgate selenoid. if not, do i just leave it plugged in so i dont get a code?
 
I left mine in place and plugged in too....Also cut a piece of foam to cover both openeings incase it ever needs to be hooked up again. :)
 
BTW, depending on your chipmaker (i.e.--I use Eric @ TurboTweak who offers free updates-tweaks-to his chips for a year), you can have them change the chip so that it doesn't "look" for the wastegate solenoid. Much the same as how Eric keeps the ECM from looking for the EGR. That way you can disconnect the solenoid and tuck it out of the way. Nice for those, like myself who like the least amount of clutter possible. :)
 
or you can get the wastegate solenoid simulator from caspers
 
thanks, i was gonna contact eric about the newer version chip anyway. didn't know about the seloind thing.
