I have a manual fan switch to throw in the car...what's the best route into the cabin without having to drill a hole in the firewall. I want to mount the switch next to my convertor lockup switch by my right knee.
Thanks!
S.

There are two grommets to choose from around the power master cylinder mounting point on the firewell. One has wires going thru it and the other a vacuum hose(If you have cruise control). Use one of those.

Yeah, just follow the speedo cable to the firewall and there is a decent sized hole there to use, I have at least four wires through there so far:D

fan switch

Is the best route to buy a toggle switch and wire one end to + of batt and other to relay? Any one know of kits for sale anywhere on web? I am thinking I will mount toggle discreetly under hood for use only while car is in staging lanes. Anyone else put one under hood instead of inside? Thanks.

I have the switch wired to ground, but it only works with ignition on. So, I put in a quick disconnect from another relay to the alternator post for use at the track. It's kinda nice because I still control the fan with the switch and some of the accessories work also. Post back if you want details and I'll look under the hood.

Thanks Scott and Two Lane. I think I will go ahead and order the Caspers part, I like the plug and play! Appreciate the help.

Here is how to make a similar setup for about $3.00
Connect a 16-18 ga wire to the third relay(hi temp) on the driver fender. You will connect/splice into the green wire with a yellow stripe and then run the new wire into the car. Connect it to a toggle switch and the other side of the switch to ground.
You are grounding the hi temp relay and it will run the fan from 7 to 11 minutes. The fan will run only 1 time, then you will have to turn the ignition key on to reset relay.

Just my 2 cents....
