Whats the MAP sensor on the 89 TTA used for? Thanks, Jason

The map sensor controls the readings to the factory boost gauge.

... and the funny thing is that the TTA used a 3 BAR MAP, but then used a resistor in the wiring harness to restrict the reading to 2 BAR.

Now, 'splain that to me!
