on the passenger side valve cover there is a small red plug into another plug and it has 2 vacuum ports coming out of it...
there is nothing plugged into these and they are just open
WTF
and WTF are they for... i am starting to hate my GN more and MORE everyday since i cant fix any problems no matter how hard i try!!:( :o :(

You think you got problems? Thats easy. Its your wategate solenoid. It should have a vacuum line on 1 of the ports. Do a search and I'm sure pics are available, or go to www.gnttype.org and look it up.

i tried and couldnt find much...
the car has an after market wastegate and a new boost gauge inside... what do i do to hook it up... does it matter if it is missing the vacuum fittings?

If it has an aftermarket wastegate you may not need the solenoid to control it. Depends on the type of wastegate and controller.

I wouldn't be mad at the car I'd be mad at myself for not asking how the system worked when I bought the car. :(

If the previous owner is available I'd be asking him a lot of questions on the mods. done to the car.

If it is a manual boost controller, then most likely there should be no vacuum hoses running to the solenoid. If however, you are using an electronic boost controller(BstC for instance), then yes, there is a good possibility that there should be a vacuum hose runnign to a barb onthe solenoid.

alright that is good i guess... there is however a few plugs that are not attached to anything on the drivers side...
they are below the front of the drivers side valve cover and 1 is green and a small plug and the other 1 is gray wiith 3 small metal circles inside that plug into something but i just dont know what to
can anybody help?

They go to nothing one is the fuel pump test wire I think and the other is a tach lead for a aftermarket tach or tester.

the gray connecter soungs like the one that plugs into the back of the a/c comp...controls high speed fan and what not...

the green connecter is the secondary tach lead...not used unless running an aftermarket (external tach)...

hope this helps...joel

Well, green connector is for the tach, yes. BUT the grey three pronged connector he described is for the A/C. It plugs into the A/C line pressure switch right there near the rear of the compressor.
