Has anyone modified their intercooler end-tanks? The dutt neck seems to help a lot of people in this area of the intercooler. I was thinking of adding to the intercooler end tanks to get more air into the intercooler and maybe adding extra tubes w/fins....

Anyone have any knowlege about this?

Thanks,
Bo

If you can TIG weld properly, it's pretty straightforward. How exactly would you mod the tanks, using the stock cores?

I dont know exactly how I would do it yet , but I had the idea of cutting and adding in sections giving it more of an angle increasing the volume of air making it look close to stock tho. Also adding to the end tubes to catch the in comming air.

Basicly what I want to do is max out a stock intercooler and If I can do it reasonably and works, then I would make more for the TTA's or GN's.

I make a decent living as a welder/fabricator/supervisor and do this kind of stuff on the side for fun. If you have any ideas lemme know or shoot me an e-mail.
