I installed my powerstroke intercooler figuring to never have to worry about knock again. But, at around 15 lbs of boost on 93 and even a xylene mix i tried I get slight knock in 1st and second then it usually gets like 12.5 when shifting hard into third gear. I usally let off right when I see that number so I dont know if it is just from the shift or not. My downpipe is not hitting anywhere, new 02 sensor, maf, you name it. Could a fuel filter cause this? My o2s are at 789 constantly. When I put my engine back in I noticed the pads must have fallen off when I washed them, could this be a problem?
The only thing I am worried about is if it something big. I hear a rattling/screaching coming from the motor for like 2 seconds after I start my car, I never hear anything while driving though. It was worse until I put 20w50 in it with a delco filter. I do plan on getting a biggie oil filter too as my pressure is at 10 psi sitting still. Could my car run this well except WOT if it had a spun bearing?? That is my main concern as I really don't want to pull the motor again. SO FRUSTRATING!!
