Most of people that i have seen on this site, go fast and get the horsepower by putting on a monsterous turbo or with some crazy set of heads. There are not many people who tune these cars to make them fast stock. My goal is to race this thing in the NHRA with the stock setup at about 3200 pounds. I only know of a few guys who can consistantly run these things in STOCK ELIMINATOR with mid-11 second runs. Those are the guys that I am looking for. I have one of the best STOCK/SUPERSTOCK ELIMINATOR engine builders in my corner but I am curious as to who knows the rest. IE: Where the boost is best, Where to take the weight out, What converter to use, Which rear end.

P.S. -- I appreciate your time and i'm sorry if i have offended anyone. Thank you.

It's much cheaper to bolt on a few parts than to "do nothing" :D and run in NHRA Stock Eliminator.

The typical NHRA Stock Eliminator car has 10's if not 100's of thousands of $ invested in it.

Just ask Fred Vetter and John/Marka Gallina...

:D

John and Marka Galina, with Duttweiller's support, have cleaned house with their entries. I cannot find a site for them but the gnttype.org list will have considerable mention of their exploits.

As Strike says, it is for serious pocketbooks, but, can be done successfully.

Their records are all gone now because the NHRA made all new classes for the EFI cars. They now have to run D/FI with a 12.20 index.

I believe the records stand as the runs were made under the current rules at the time.
