Well, been gettin some stuff taken care of on the GN, but I still can't get rid of my knock. I was wondering...how much "play" should the engine have as you you rev it up? When I look at it as I rev it, it looks like it's rocking an awful lot. So, maybe my mounts are wore out??? Or, is that normal?

Motor should be pretty solid.
I had some strange knock problems, had good clearance beetween DP and frame put in a HR drivers side poly mount anyway that took care of it.
As far as vibration from the poly mounts, I can honestly say i dont really notice a difference, but then again i only did the driver side...

yeah...I'm thinking about doing the same...I heardif you only replace the drivers side poly it won't vibrate so bad. Thanks, man

yea the motor mounts should not give a lot. if they are stock change them either get new rubber ones (they are not that expensive) or a sinle poly mount from HR. i redid mine not to long ago and it made a world of differance.....

Get both mounts. The vibe isnt that bad, and a 17 yhear old RS mount is going to be squished. When you put in a new LS mount the engine WILL sit crooked. I know from experience. The HR mounts are top notch, I have them on both sides and my engine sits as solid as can be.

Poly on both sides for me. Motor dont move, even foot braking it to 10 psi.:)

Isn't there more vibration while you're driving with poly on both sides, though?

I must be used to it already, I dont even feel the diff. All I know is I will never break another engine mount again :-)
