i did a basic trans flush and when all was done my car wouldnt start. i checked the fuel and the pump runs, the engine has spark and cranks like a champ.the rockers are rocking so i dont have a timing chain problem...what does the cam sensor control? spark or fuel? that might be a potental problem but imjust not sure. any help would be great.

I think it controls fuel. If your cam sensor is bitched, your injectors will not pulse.(I think that's the way it goes.) Do you have oil pressure?

after a while of cranking the oil light will go out but i dont have an actual psi guage. what would that indicate.

Pull the cap on the cam sensor(2 phillips screws) and look for corrosion/condensation etc. It should be squeaky clean in there.

But ya really didn't touch anything near there so hmmmm

Ya know you have fuel. Do you have injector pulse??
If you don't have a noid light then:
Take a test light to hot and check for the ground pulse when cranking at one of the injectors...just probe the 2 wires until ya find the ground.....or find the hot first.

Let us know

yea i checked the injector pulse with both a analog volt meter and a old injector, they are pulsing.mabey with the cam sensor somthing could have come loose and changed the degrees of pulse but at the same time wouldnt my car still fire up? i was tol that the maf could be out and that it might not register on the engine trouble codes. i fully unplugged the maf sensor and ran the codes again and got nothing... im afraid that if the cam sensor and the maf arnt the problem then it would be the timing chain, but that wouldnt make sensethat skipping one tooth would kill my car completly.id understand about a "no start" condition if it skipped a whole lot but one would notice the chain skipping oneor two through time before a total stop of operation. what do you all think??
