its been a while sence ive posted here, to make it short my engaugement ended when i found a email from one of her co workers while she was in europe. eather way, i had been saving what i could and given the rest to her so she could get by making me pretty much busted and broke.

well not any more, im gona enjoy my money and my life. heres my recent collection. i picked up a 43 garand i guess it was last weekend and got addicted. in a weeks time ive collected this little armory, another (1941) garand, 1000 rounds of 30-06 (m2 ball ammo, armor peircing, tracers, and anti aircraft fragmentery rounds) a origional m1905 bayonet, bandolear, paratrooper garand gun case, unopened 1944 gernade launcher site, winter saftey, winter trigger, 50-60 clips, and a garand parts kit. the 41 is a match rifle that im going to be using for 600 yard competition shooting.

Life's too short to do other wise...

600?, yehaa!. I used to like the long course stuff.

i like the m1's, shot them for awhile in the civilian military service rifle program, before going to an m14, then being a bum and using an AR-15 :p. Glad you are now enjoying your guns, competition is alot of fun.

Just be careful with those green-tipped muthas...they're tracer if I remember right. And I'm pretty sure the black-tips are AP, so make sure your backstop is a great big hill. :D :D

anti-aircraft fragmental rounds ;) im saving them for my home defense rounds.

the way i see it, if 8 anti-aircraft 30-06 frag rounds wont help me im screwed any way.

btw, i was wrong on the date. i just ran the "41s" number, turns out it was made in june of 42. my other was made in april of 43.

"Sir the name of the privates weapon is Charlene sir!" :D Sweet weapon!! I would love to find one of those for myself!

lol np, i baught the gun with out running the numbers.

Beautiful guns!!!!!!!!!!!! Brings back fond memories when I used to shoot on the Navy rifle team. :)
Especially challenging on the 1,000 yard ranges!!!!!
Sure wish I still had mine (7.62). Sold it too many years ago :(

i know where an origional navy 7.62 is for 650 bucks with the correct barrel and trigger group. only problem is that the barrels shot completly out of it.

not a big deal but my tool man told me today if ill paint a junk stock with his logo durring the competitions he will help me out alittle. hes already sponcering two local race cars.

Did some spring cleaning in one of my long gun safes a month or so ago, too. There's a Garand in there somewhere. :)

Looks like a "Tanker Garand" although the government only made three of those I think, all the others were knock offs.

the FBI and CIA have been notified they are on thier way to your house as we speak, lmao, nice guys dude..

Heh, that's ONE long gun safe. Got two more, 3 handgun safes and a walk-in closet for ammo. ;)

The Garand is about the same length as the 20" Mossberg 500A to it's right and longer than the pair of AKs between them. Of course, they are all tiny next to the 50BMG. :)

these garand pics are OLD my buddy gave them to me today, i beleve these were from when he first baught the rifle. the other pics are of my model 52 target pistol.
