Need Cam Sensor Help

Guys,
I'm putting my engine back together. I have purchased a new cam shaft sensor and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to how it is properly installed into the car. Is it installed just like a distributor with the #1 cylinder at TDC? I seens cam shaft sendor tools and I'm not sure what they are used for.

Make sure you lube that new sensor.

What did the new sensor cost and where did you purchase it ? im gonna need one also.

Most any local Parts Stores carry them, or can get them via special order in one day. I bought a Borg Warner sensor for about $35. Keep in mind though, it's just the sensor/cap, and not the whole metal shaft/gear. I bought mine at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Just make sure the guy looking it up really knows what you need. I actually had to get them to bring out the Borg Warner catalog, and look it up for them, so that they would order the correct part number.
