Well, I've got a couple of thing going bad......Te44 has a leaking seal & my tranny is slipping, so I'm going to get a new tranny & am strongly considering upgrading to bigger turbo & going from my stock stall to whatever one I need to match up w/ the new turbo. When I bought the 44, I still had stock heads & stock cam, but now that those have been upgraded & I need a new turbo/tranny, might as well take advantage of the situation....lol
You can see in my signature below what mods I have & the car is street/hwy driven 4 or 5 times a week & will only see the track 4 or 5 times a year.
The turbo I'm considering the most is the new GT 61 from John Craig. John says it's a great street/strip turbo that's a nice step up from the 44 & spools lightning fast w/ a 3200 stall. Will support up to 675 hp...Sounds like an awesome turbo. Anyone have any experience with this turbo or know someone who does???
Also thinking about a te45a, it's a great turbo, but not sure if it can be toned down for all the street use it'll see...I don't want to get eaten on the street because I can't get traction....lol.
Also, I don't really want to change injectors, hoping the 50's will be enough for what I want to do.
Stall I'm considering is the PTS XTREME 9/11.
Goal is to be able to run low-mid 11's on alchy without having to crank the boost over 25lbs+.
Any help/opinions that might help me will be appreciated!!!

Thanks, The Darkside:cool:

When I decided on mine I read countless posts for a month and made my decision based on everything I read. The only way to get comfortable with a decision is to get as much info on all your options as possible.
This probably wasn't what you wanted to hear but this is the best way to decide on anything...gain knowledge and make your own choice.
On my car with stock converter I can spool to 3-4 psi with no tire spin on bfg street tires. It launches hard and in less than a second the boost is going. I didn't want a converter because my car is an everday driver and doesn't see much racing.
I am currently getting mt heads done, new cam, THDP, 50's and some other things. Should promote better spool up and give me some better top end.
