I was looking on Advance Auto Parts website and noticed they have an upper and lower radiator hose that are like 13 bucks each...but their diagrams of what they look like don't look like the factory ones? has anyone bought these from here and do they fit like stock?

my other question is...there's a water port in the intake manifold that is sticking out in front to the right of the thermostat housing...do I need to connect this port to somewhere? I ran custom hoses from the heater core to the intake opening on the passenger side and also the water pump itself...basically i replaced the aluminum piping system that used to sit on top the intake manifold...i can't remember if that port in front of the intake needs to go to something?

nevermind about the first question...I just ordered them from GMpartsdirect...forgot you could order from them!

second question is still up for grabs...need to know if I need to connect that front water port on the intake to something...or can i just leave it like it is?

Upper hose is TR specific, lower is regular Regal

The nipple sticking out of the intake goes to the nipple behind the timing cover. Its a thermostat bypass. The correct hose is discontinued aftermarket, but I went thru the hose rack and found one to fit. I didnt look up what it fit. Was an "S" with less radius at the bends. I just forced it on :)

The hose that went to the pipes on the intake goes to the nipple sticking out of the water pump.

You can still get the genuine GM issue from gmpartsdirect.com or even through your "friendly" GM dealer, you know they'll fit> I can get you part #s tomorrow if you like.....

All the aftermarket ones, I've tried had the lower hose rubbing against the headers, and trimming wasn't the cure.
Wound up getting some 1.5" bathroom plumbing, insert WOW factor, since it was chrome, and then cut and spliced the hose to clear everything properly.

GM part numbers and (suggested) retail prices:
upper 25525229 $32.26
lower 25523616 $37.44

still decent stock on hand for both #s
