ive been having problems with my car lately and i finally figured out why. i did the old take one wire off the coilpack at a time, and guess what??? middle coil wasnt giving out any spark!!! i figured ok ill swap my old one back in(only reason i replaced it was because i got a new one for free) same thing is happening. would something else besides the coilpack cause this to happen. im currently running on four cylinders and id like to have another couple back....... i dotn think it owuld be a module, is it possible i just had another bad coilpack with the center not giving spark? please reply ASAP i want to get this done before dark

Take your module to AutoZone. They can test it for free. Then you'll know.

is it possible to fry the module completely? after messing around with it a bit, it just cranks and no start........

Just take the module and have it tested. Then you'll know. There's no test for the coilpack other than having a Casper's tester or ohm'ing the towers. 11K - 13K is normal across each coil pack pair. Crank no start - do a search for this here on the board. There is a nice diagnostic procedure written by Jim Testa that will help greatly.
