Hi, me and my dad own a nice custom bigger then regulation size or turny size table that is in dyer need of REFELT and REBALANCE(marble slate) the table is off to the left. Can anyone point me in the right direction of someone who can do this work, so I am not pulling ads out of the newspaper and paying retail price on this.

Thanks in advance

I have dome 3 of them myself it is not that hard. Two levels to get it straight and the felt is not to bad either

o Really, this type of work can be a DIY job? All I know is that this pool table is extremly rare and expensive custom made by brunswick. Our balls are irvoy african elephant tusk, legal because they were bought before the irvory law went into effect. That also gives you a good idea for guessing how old the table is. Me and my dad wouldn't mind leaving this one to the pro's. I just dont know to much about this process, or who to turn too here. Starting from scratch.

the only DIY I was planning on doing, was when I get my mig welder; I wouldn't mind doing my own custom stained glass light fixture. Maybe with a grand national scheem to it. Because I know stain'ing and/or painting glass isn't to hard, and mig'ing up a frame for the glass couldn't be that hard with a decnet welder it would only take time. Just some food for thought.

Im no expert but after buying a table and helping the guy set it up the base that is and he did the slate level and felt and all that jazz I spent the next few days with a floor jack and shims getting it level. Some how do it yourself if you can. Sounds like an awesome table thou. I can see why you dont want to mess with it but you may be happier.

Mark find the closest pool hall or billiards club to you and go ask them. i guarantee you they use someone to take care of their tables and he will be local.

Cash always gives you a good discount.

good idea reggie! Gotta find a dope pool hall now. Never really gone out n looked, all the tables i have seen in pool hallz are pretty crappy and smaller then mine so ive never been a big fan.

BUT its so cal, IM SURE theres a really nice spot somewhere I can find, great idea. Thanks reggie.
