Need Top Engine Cleaner Procedure

Hi All,

I am trying to verify if I have exhaust leak and want to use the Top Engine Cleaner.

Since gnttype.org is not available. Can someone provide a detailed instructions?

If I remember correctly:

• Warm up engine and turn off
• Disconnect MAF
• Disconnect upipe and rotate around so you can pour the contents in the pipe,
• Start engine (will run rough in "Limp Home" mode)
• Slowly pour in 1/2 of the bottle, slow enough to keep motor running
• Dump in last half of bottle, which should stop the motor (if not, go Key OFF)
• Reconnect MAF sensor
• Wait twenty minutes and restart.
• Watch the smoke!!

You may need to operate the throttle by hand to keep the car at about 1200-1400 rpms while you dump the stuff in there so it won't stall.

Scott 231: that's amazing if that was from memory, good work.

Be sure you have lots of eyes on the exhaust. My engine doesn't have much carbon in it, so the leak through the header crack was not billowing smoke. Stay focused on the driver's header between the 3 and 5 port.
