Guys, I need a link to a site that shows the top view of the engine bay for a 1987 GN. My fan is staying on all the time with the car running and after it's shut off. I tapped the 1st relay closest to the front drivers side and it shut off. A/C was not on and it's only 80 degrees out. Before when the A/C is on the fan would only stay on for about a minute. I need to know if this is the correct one so I can clean the connections.
The link I have is http://perfauto.tripod.com/indexpage.pdf

Just type in www.Gnttype.org. Search around and you'll find it. It has a page with all the sensors shown. The largest relay of the 3 on the driver's side is a fan relay too. I believe all 3 are but am not sure.

I believe that all three relays on driver's side pertain to fan control. the largest one is the fan delay relay. the two smaller ones are the hi-speed and low speed fan relays from what i have read. I also read somewhere that the fan delay relay (largest relay) can get moisture in it causing it to go bad and allow the fan to remain on and thus drain your battery. I would check that relay and or replace it as they are relatively cheap. Kirban's has them for about $38. cheaper than Gm dealer. Could also try GmPARTSdirect.com
