What's with all the knuckleheads standing around the starting line? They never let anyone anywhere near the line but the starter guy at our local track. I guess there's a reason for that.

I see that a lot especially with the faster cars. People want to be associated with the fast cars. I personally think its retarded. Ill bet the big guy in the video wont do that again. I never understood the guy by the starting line (not the tree activator) who has to tell his buddy in the car how far to pull up and how far to the left or right he should be! Its simple...pull up til the 2nd stage light comes on and as u approach stay in the rubber layed down by the other cars! Its not rocket science.

And also when you have a car that isnt a pile of poop, you want to make sure the other guy that just went didnt splatter water or pieces down the track.

I always check for debris and water when my buddies race, heck even when they are in the pits i always stand near the line to make sure the next guy is going to be safe.
