Took a road trip with the Buick, and ended up winnning my street tire class.
It ran 12.13 at 120mph with Eric's alky chip. The eighth mile came in 7.9 seconds at 92.7mph. 60ft was 2.00
Hmmm.......alomst time for a cage I guess.
I can hardly wait to get the stock elbow off and put on my Mease downpipe.
All this and the car got 30mpg on the way home.
Nice........:)

Wow, very nice trap speed. I was running that trap speed with my 99 GT and hope to do the same with my GN. The car just feels extremely fast when you start going above 120 in the 1/4. Nice Job!

Congratulations.

Now what's the secret for getting 30mpg? I don't think the rest of us mortals have ever gotten anything close to that with a TR regardless of how we drive it.

The trick is loading the trunk completely full of alcohol and tools, 3 people, and drive between 65-75mph the whole time. Oh ya, and Eric's chip with the lean cruise......:)

With a good tune, it's not that hard. At worp speed+ mine falls to a lil over 27, and at reasonable speeds is just over 30. I've richened it up since then just to keep the chamber temps/ and oil a lil cooler. There's no free ride, in anything automotive. Better mileage means leaner, more advance, and corresponding increased engine wear.
