just installed a thunder fab stock mount cooler,with my TA60...all else the same...ran 1 mph faster,but same et's....what do i need? stuck at 12:50's
 
Maybe a lil more timing? boost sounds pretty good to me..I ran 7.62 @92.5 in 8th..suppose to be a high 11 or low12 in 1/4..I ran like 21-22 lbs of boost & a 26 deg timing JL chip..51 turbo V1 frontmount..thru exhaust on M/T sportsman pros..1.80 60fts normally..full weight GN T-Top with factory wheels & jack & spare & all..I think it weight @ 3780 with me in it..

it's hard to compare 1/8s to 1/4's....but i'm going 108 at the traps...1.8 60's with DR,s using red's 108 chip..
 
Well usually you can go by the chat that I think PTE has & its pretty dang close on 1/8-1/4 mile times as weve dont it before..I just havent ran 1/4 since I got to a 7.62 8th time...we dont run much 1/4 around here..just not the popular thing I guess..
So.......Tell me what you run in the 8th...e.t. & mph..that will tell some there...You should have 8th on your slip even though you may not pay attn to it...if your 8th is good but your 1/4 is off that may tell you at least where your problem lies..fuel??..Detonation??(timing retard)

You need more injector...
Turn the wick up on it...

I run 26 lbs on alcohol and have gone 8.0 @ 95 mph in the 1/8th with a 2.0 60 ft (idle launch). Something in your tune isn't right or you're running out of fuel.
 
I picked up 5 mph + going from a stock intercooler and Nitto drag radials to a Thunder Fab 'cooler and Hoosier QTP's with no other changes. My worst times/mph with the Thunder Fab unit are better than my best times prior to it. Spool-up at the line was also markedly improved. Were you running 23# of boost before the swap? Was that the max boost you could run before KR? Can you run more boost now without KR?

i was running 23 lbs before.110 octane,no knock....
 
Brian, have you upgraded the valve springs? 8.1 in the 8th is probably a 12.50 so you're right on spec. Just need a little more push in the higher rpms. That and see where it's shifting. Might need to ride the gears out until 5200 at each shift to get max pull.

yes...i have fresh comp cams springs....100lb
 
I know this may sound stupid but what mufflers do you have? you dont have the flowmasters do you? Might wanna try another chip..some cars might like a differnt persons chip better than others..I was using a MMC 110 chip at one time running (best I can rememebr) 8.30's then went to a JL 110 chip & ran 8.0's(with stock turbo & stuff) then went with dynomax ultraflows from the superturbos & ran 7.80's then 51 turbo & 50lb inj. & slowed back to the 8.0's-8.20's then installed V1 front mount & 7.60's(must have ruind the stock intercooler somewhere because mine picked up alot for 8th mile with just an intercooler change..
