Long time lurker, finally got off my lazy butt and registered. :D Just wanted to say hello. Some of you might recognize my username from other car and gun related forums. I'm a member on a bunch of them and moderate a gun related site. Hope you guys have room for one more boost addict.

ALOHA!

And welcome to the board. Check out us guys in the Hawaii board when you have time.:)

Welcome!!! Sounds like you've got a fair bit of experience with the TRs as is. And how much do you want for your GN with the WORKS??? I'll give you THREE THOUSAND dollars for it right now :p Have fun!

Welcome. Nice nickname by the way. :)

Like guns too eh? My Springfield M1A Match rifle is the only thing I own that I like as much as my Buick. It's a Springfield receiver fitted with front and rear lugs, glass-bedded into a heavy laminate stock. It was worked over by Derrick Martin at Accuracy Speaks. He is a top-notch gunsmith. I posted a link to his site. Now if only I can find time to get back into highpower match shooting! Once again, welcome aboard.

The M1A is a fine rifle. Great shooters!

I would have to say out of all my rifles, my Armalite AR50 in 50BMG brings the biggest smile to my face when the trigger is squeezed. It never fails to bring people to the line to see what the heck is making all that noise.

While I trust one of my Glocks with my life for daily carry, my Desert Eagle in 50AE draws as many on-lookers as the AR50. Makes the 44 mag. shooters feel humbled.:D

I've got a Garand for sale right now. As soon as it sells I think I'm going to step up to the plate and buy one of the new Smith & Wesson 500 Magnums.  I only wish Smith would start making their revolvers again with a blued finish. Not everyone wants stainless!!! If you haven't seen the new 500 Magnum yet, go here:

Not only have I seen the new 500, I have fired it. Jealous yet?:D

You wouldn't be able to get me to part with my Garand! Wonderful piece of history.

Captain Mark,

Nothing at all wrong with a Sig. Very good pistols. I just don't like the double action to single action transition. I prefer a consistant trigger pull every time. Just a personal thing. The bore axis is just a bit too high for me as well. Glocks in comparison have a very low bore axis. Bottom line, it doesn't matter what ya shoot as long as you just shoot!;)

I have been carrying this Sig since the early '90's and have just gotten used to it. Quality weapon in my opinion.

I'm the last guy around here NOT shooting a Glock. I'll probably go ahead and get the .40 caliber with the compensated barrel. That's what most of the guys here are carrying. I've shot one at the range and it was an excellent weapon. Shot a pretty good grouping with it my first time out.
