Radiator Went Bad. Will The Becool 66062 Radiator Fit Without Mods. I Also Found A New Acdelco Radiator. Which Would You Put In.

had my stocker recored to a high efficiency 4 row runs 160 to 165 it consists of 4 small tubes and a million fins

I think you will find if you search..... most people here looking for a replacement radiator..... and want one that cools better than the stocker..... install the late 80's early 90's Iroc/Z28 radiator. It is a single row aluminum that bolts right in..... it will make an @ss out of the stocker as far as the cooling ability..... it is about half the weight.... and is around $120 at most parts stores. The only drawback.....is it doesn't have an oil cooler built in like the stocker....... I am running synthetic oil in my GN..... so high oil temp doesn't bother me..... so I bypassed mine altogether......... some people chose to upgrade to an external cooler anyway......either way..... it is extremely hard to beat for the money........ and it bols right in to the stock mounts.......

Summer times and high temps, i agree with the f-body radiator...

I am currently one on my blue car, and one on my grey car...

The Be Cool fit with very minor mods to the radiator support. I had to remove about 1/8" in the middle & 1/8"-1/4" on drivers side top.it was very easy with dremel tool and looks good. If you have A/c it looks like the trans lines may hit the condensor end tubes(I haven't made it past this due to new motor build) I used all the factory mounts. It's a nice piece but cost 6 times the F-body rads and people seem happy with those.

I just fit it in with trans lines attached and it does fit. the fittings barely touch the condensors. A thin piece of rubber between the fittings and the condensor will be perfect. Oil cooler lines are also correct so i'd say the 66062 fits good.

I got a stock AC/Deco from Gyrhead. Figured it was good enough for it first time around. ;)

I've had a becool before, though not in my gn. You'll pay for it, but there's nothing like it when it comes to cooling vs weight. I say vs weight because someone will tell you about athere 50 lb radiator that cooled like no tomorrow, or there f-body (which is what I intend to use if it gets the job done) that cools great. So before I get attacked by the becool haters I'm just saying that, while you might not "need" a becool, they are really nice to have if you have the money. I ran mine on an s-10 with a 400 sbc with NO FAN at all. As long as I was moving at lease 10 mph, it didn't overheat. Even on a 1/4 pull the temp gauge was rock solid. Only drawback, holy $h!t are they expensive!! HTH. james

The following 1-row aluminum core radiators have an oil cooler built-in to the drivers side:

ACDelco 20903 $202 carparts.com
GM 52477477 $181 gmpartsdirect.com
Spectra-Premium CU1272 $227 rockauto.com
Visteon 9218

Application is 89 Buick Century with 2.8L and engine oil cooler or 1985 Century w/ diesel.

So it looks like (and cools like) an F-body rad but it has both coolers? That isn't a bad price either. Thanks for posting.

Yeah that looks like a cool radiator as long as you can figure out how to extend the oil cooler lines.
I'm still really happy with the F-Body I threw in. I can drive 35 miles, all the way home from work, climbing up hills through a small mountain range, and my fan doesnt even turn on cause it wont go over 170 degrees. The highest its ever reached was this morning...181, and I was sitting in traffic that wasnt moving in this early summer heat. I had to cut the steel tube ends off the oil cooler lines, run my own hose, and loop it around to bypass it. So no oil cooler and it still runs really cool. This radiator has the tranny cooler lines, but I dont use them cause I had put in an external tranny cooler the week before the radiator. I thought of using the tranny cooler in the F-Body radiator as the oil cooler, but those lines are way smaller and figured it may be a major oil restriction, so I just bypassed it. The radiator is a direct drop-in. No mounts or anything had to be moved like someone was saying.
God bless the guy who first discovered that this F-Body radiator worked!

Ordered The Becool 66062 From Summit Today Looks Like A Nice Radiator. What The Hell Its Only Money. I Will Let You Guys Know How It Works And Fits.

The becool radiator is a beautiful, quality product, but I couldnt justify the expense, when a $109 Autozone radiator cools so well that I can drive 35 miles through a mountain range in the summer without the fan even turning on. Plus I like the idea of 1 large core. Its alot harder for 1 big core to clog.
