I've met him at southeast turbo one day...he seemed like a good guy. How do you know that he is a scam? Has he ripped you off or something? Looks like it might be a text message or something of sort like that he is posting about intercoolers.

Well lets see, he in 11 posts, has 14 posts to his name, posted a couple of times in some theads, each one wanting to buy an intercooler with the same text. Either he's a scam or someone is spoofing him. It's written like one of those ebay scams so I say thow him out.

I told him about this web site...when I met him he said he never heard of this site...maybe hes not use to forums like you and I are. I know he is looking for a intercooler b/c he told me he was when he was at SETURBO.

It does seem strange but he is leaving a number...even if he says he may not answer......a number can be traced and most criminals aren't going to be that stupid...good ones anyway. I wouldn't pass judgement until I had proof.

I haven't seen the ads about IC but his introduction (see below) in the SE Area posting seens straight forward. His phone number checks out as a mobile from Newnan, GA, which is in the Atlanta area.

I'm sorry to say guys, you can't convict an innocent guy as being a scammer unless you actually know of somebody on this site who has been scammed. I don't know if you've ever watched the movie "12 Angry Men"? This is what this reminds me of.

His quote above just looks like he may copy and paste the same text when posting to a thread. I do that all the time to save me the hassle of keep having to type the same thing over and over again. Also, when I leave people my cell phone number, I also tell them to leave a message if they call and I'll call them back. Most of the time, my cell phone doesn't ring when somebody calls. It goes straight to the tone that lets me know I have a message. It's probably because of the crappy Nextel service, but my company pays for my cell phone so I can't complain. If people don't leave me a message, then I won't know that somebody called.

Has anybody ever called his number and left a message? Has anybody every confronted him about this? I would assume not.

Before labeling anybody as something they may not be, please make sure you have the actual facts. I'm a newbie on this site and it would suck if somebody labeled me as something I wasn't and if members I didn't know hated me for no apparent reason, then that would be lame. I'm here to post comments and look for parts for sale.

I too ran the phone number last week and saw his posts, i figured it was a saved text message on his phone that he kept sending.

If you actually read all of his posts, there is a few small changes,but he has been looking for a IC and leaves his name and phone number.

It's good to see both sides of the issue. Being relatively new to the site, I was also wondering about the unusual posts. But I guess that the guys who say "innocent till proven guilty" have a valid point.......just an opinion

ok i see what you guys mean about innocent until proven guilty i apologize if i am wrong i shouldnt have jumped the gun like that. it is just i am tired of people getting scammed on turbo buick. it wasnt this bad when i first became a member years back it makes people think twice before they buy anything or sell anything to anyone. his posts make a red flag pop up thats all.
