New timing chain,running like poopey

i put a new timing chain and gears in today,i did it by the book and stuff (dot to dot) now its back together and running bad,its also making bad exhause smoke and kind sounds like a ticking noise... Is it possible that i just messed up with the cam sensor and its firing wrong? i dont think i did it right at all (cam sensor) i primed the oil pump with vaseline and i used an old distributor shaft in the sensor hole so i dont think its oil related,thanks for any imput

Cam sensor . Do it again , i had mine 180 out .
