A friend of mine who has an '86 Grand National has offered me set of NGK Iridium Spark Plugs, and a set of MSD (red) plug wires. Both of which are still brand new in the box. I can get it for a good deal, but it's still more expensive than AC's and Premium wires. What is the deal with these Iridium tips, is there anything to running them on a GN? Also would these wire work on a 1985 GN that is completely stock?

Thanks fellas

Cheap AC Delco and Autolite copper core plugs work just fine. Don't fool with gimmick plugs. It's been said over and over.

Nothing wrong with the MSD wires but I've been running a set of NAPA plug wires for years with no problems.

+1, stay away from Iridium for our cars. I've used Red's wires for a few years with NO problems but decided to try the MSD's.

The 86-87 GN wires dont fit the 84-85 to well beacuse of the location of the coil.

Thanks for the help guys. I definately won't be buying the NGK's now. I really figured that they would be good to run, I'm glad I asked.
