I get no air out of the dash vents with the A/C on. All the air comes out of the bottom, some out of the defroster vents, and nearly none out of the dash vents. I know there's a vacuum-ontrolled door that isn't working - what's the easist way to check/service that flapper door?

Thanks

Theres "T" looking vacuum fitting behind the coil pack up against the firewall. Check to make sure the three lines are connected. I changed a coil pack and hit one of those lines off and the vents wouldn't work.

Check under the hood first to see if all the lines are hooked up. Someone took the vacuum ball out of my car so it doesn't have much reserve.

My vents stopped working and it turned out to be the vacuum distribution manifold in the dash. It is hooked up to the dash HVAC lever. ~$15 at your friendly neighborhood GM dealer.

I had the same problem and checked all the stuff these other guys told you about. But my door was just sticking. Unfortunately its the hardest door to get to, according to the troubleshooting manual. Mine just stopped sticking one day.

The switch on your ac control panel can go out . In the back of the panel it will have 2 disks. If the 2 disks do not get a good seal it can cause a vacuum leak and cause your system to bypass and blow through your defrost. Listem for the tale, tale vacuum hiss(leak). I just had this problem with my car.

Thanks everyone for their replies - I wil dig into this tomorrow and reply with my results tomorrow night. :D
