Off center-on center

What do you guys mean when you say off center or on center block? What is the difference? Just curious.

It refers to the way the bores are spaced over the crank throws. The Production block is "off center", since the pistons aren't centered over the crank throw (they are slightly offset or off center).

There were Stage I and Stage II blocks made in BOTH off and on center configurations, so simply being a "Stage II" doesn't automatically denote if it's on or off center.
