Hi : I am new to the TR circut and just recently purchased an 84 TR. The previous owner had the motor rebuilt & I noticed a few things
1: The dip stick is coming out from the pan between the 2 and 3rd exhaust ports. The stick tube has a horseshoe shaped brcket that I guess attaches tothe manifold nut. however it appears that it should be coming up from the 1st and 2nd port so that it attaches to the 1 or 2nd manifold bolt. right?

2: on the same driver side I noticed a ground wire that is only attached to the fire wall. where does the other side attached to?

3; there is a bracket containing a bunch of lines that appears to have been attached to the bottom back valve cover bolt yes ,no?

Thanks for the help. Mike

Well dude, I won't leave you hanging, I am also pretty new to this board,
1. My dipstick is attached to the first upper manifold bolt.

2. On the ground wire attached to the firewall, mine is attached to one of the bolts in the back of the engine. I believe that it attaches the engine to the transmission. Good luck in getting that back on without a loss of language.

3. No clue, need more info, or even a pic.
