Oil Pressure sending unit.

On the driver's side center of the block (motor), there is a 1/8 inch NPT plug. I am installing an Autometer electric oil pressure gauge and sending unit and need to know if the passage behind this plug is an oil passage that would read oil pressure. Has anyone come across this?

I believe that is a water passage. You could T off from the block in the front, right above the oil filter.
