The electrical 3-wire connector that plugs onto the oil sending unit is nothing but a wad of "goo" and after removing it I realized I don't know which wire goes to what terminal!!

I sure would appreciate it if someone could tell me which color wire goes to what terminal on the sending unit.

TIA,

Same thing happened

H.O.W, go to the Caspers eectronics website, they sell a replacement. GM wanted $27 list. Also, someone else suggested an old headlight prong in a pinch. Or just install the gauge w/o the "T"

Pin A is the pink black power lead from the FP/INJ fuse.

Pin C is the Gray wire to the fuel pump.

Pin B goes to the tan wire for the idiot light.

If your connector is smooshed most likely the pin letters are no longer readable.

Pin B would be the middle pin on the thing however it should also read a short to ground with no oil pressure.

Pins A and C are the outside edge pins and can be hooked up either way or backwards as long as they don't go to B or ground.

You can verify operation of the switch if you remove it from the motor to find the exact pins.

Applying over 8 psi. or so would open the metal case to Pin B of the unit which removes the ground from that wire to shut off the idiot light.

Other two side pins would be shorted at that time simulating proper oil pressure which would give power to the fuel pump via the bypass circuit wiring.
