Why does my car only build 20psi? I can set the wastegate actuator to 20psi, spin the rod another three full turns, and still only 20psi. Do I need a heavy duty wastegate actuator, or some sort of aftermarket boost control? Or is something else the matter. It seems like the actuator is not capable of holding the pressure, because the car can build 20psi almost instantly at even half throttle. Who carries the heavy duty actuators? Thanks in advance.

sounds like you need a heavy duty actuator...we sell them for $79...219-996-7832

also when adjusting boost...its best to run a straight vacuum line from the actuator directly to the compressor housing and bypassing the wastegate solenoid system completely (leave it plugged in to the harness and cap off the vacuum port)

this allows you to have much better precise boost control...hope this helps a little...

boost controler

can your boost controler still be used with the the stock set up i have a large turbo gtq71 and whatever i can do to have it spool sooner i would love could you explain??i also have a in car bst controler from ramchargers

It is hard to use more than one boost controler at a time. they usually end up fighting each other no matter what brand they are.

Our boost controller works with all types of waste gates. you simpley run the boost signal from the compressor to the actuator with the controler in between
