Open and Closed loop Boost controller ?

What's the difference in how they work. I'm looking for something that I can run more boost in 1 and 2 gear and let it go down a little in 3rd.

Right now I'm getting 22-23 in first and second and goes to 25 in 3rd running a stock setup with a HD actuator.

anyone?? WIll a BSTc work to scale back boost in 3rd gear. That's what I need to do.

I have the BSTC and i believe there is a switch on the back to "control" boost creep-
Do a search on BSTC CREEP and 3rd gear knock down....

Yes the BSTC can scale boost in 3rd gear, assuming the 3rd gear switch in the transmission is working signalling at the ECM where you wire it up.
